We get it — trying something new takes courage. Here's what you need to know.
Nope! Most people come solo. In class we rotate partners, so you'll dance with everyone and learn faster. It's also one of the best ways to meet people — our community is incredibly welcoming.
That's exactly who this is for. Our Bachata Foundations and Sensual Foundations classes start from scratch every cycle. The room is full of people who remember what it's like to be new. You'll feel at home here.
Anything you can move comfortably in. Jeans, leggings, a t-shirt — whatever feels good. For shoes, smooth-soled shoes work best (avoid rubber soles that grip the floor). Socks work in a pinch. No need to buy dance shoes for your first class.
Not exactly — there's a shared Body Movement & Footwork class from 8:00 to 8:30 PM that bridges the two. Bachata Foundations ends at 8:00, then everyone does Body Movement & Footwork together, and Sensual Foundations picks up at 8:30. If you sign up for both, you get a seamless evening of dance.
Absolutely — the more the merrier! When you sign up, you can select up to 4 people. It's $10 per class per person. Bringing a friend is a great way to share the experience.
Every Thursday evening at The Dance Factory Tampa Bay — 334 Westshore Plaza Unit A10, Tampa, FL 33609. Bachata Foundations runs 7:00–8:30 PM and Sensual Foundations runs 8:00–9:30 PM (with a shared Body Movement & Footwork session from 8:00–8:30). You can take one or both!
